Let’s say I have a processor that says “Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz.” Does it means that the processor has two 1.86GHz (3.72GHz total) or does it mean that the WHOLE processor speed adds up to 1.86GHz. Thanks.

You can force a “BIOS shut-off” on any machine by holding the power button for about 5 seconds. (Or if it’s a desktop, just pull the power cord.)

Question by Ashley: A quick question about computer processors?
I’ve been wanting to get a new laptop for a while now. I have narrowed my search down to two laptops. Both of them have different processors and I’m not quite sure which one would be better for my needs. I wouldn’t use the laptop for any serious gaming, mostly pictures, music and some internet browsing. I have included the links to the two laptops below. Opinions and suggestions are welcome, and thank you in advance!
Whoops, here they are!
